There are Millard county of- -v ficials now in office, from a picture taken by Lamer Brun- ' san of Fillmore just after the group had taken oath of office, administered by Dorothy Beck- strand, at left, retiring county clerk, on January 2. Standing, from left to right, are Claude Robins, assessor; O. J. Bennett, deputy sheriif; Cul-bert Cul-bert Robisoln, sheriff; LaVar Owens, Ow-ens, 2-year commissioner; Mark S. Johnson, hold-over commiss ioner; Golden H. Black, 4-year commissioner; Eldon Eliason, county attorney; Horace E. Day, deputy treasurer; William H. Mitchell, treasurer, and Dale Ashman, clerk. Mr. Johnson, past chairman of the commissioners, addressed the group, and outlined responsibilities responsibil-ities of their offices. Mr. Black, commission chairman, chair-man, Mr. Owens, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Ashman, Camilla Hunter, Normd Day, Claude Robins, Mitchell Mit-chell and Mr. Day attended the convention of Utah Association of County Officials, held in Salt Lake City during the past week. At the closing sessions Friday, Mark S. Johnson, veteran county coun-ty commissioner was elected as president of the organization. |
