MARLIN CRABTREE Miss Sammy Fancher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fancher, of Caliente, Nev., and Marlin Crab-tre- e of Montana, were married on May 15, as Las Vegas, Nev. The young couple will make a home in Montana, where Mr. Crab-tre- e is associated with Oral Zum-wal- t, in rodeo production. The bride is well remembered here as a skilled rider. and com-petent hand with J. Ray Skinner's Intormountain rodeo company. For the past two years she has been at Days of the Old West cele bratian, leading the grand entry, and running stock in the arena with her father, pick-u- p man. The attractive seventeen-yea- r old performer has been riding hor-ses since she could walk. Mr. Crab tree rides, ropes and bulldogs, and is pick up man. They met in Las Vegas, where the bride was queen candidate this year, and was an attendant to the queen at the Helldorado cele-bration. They were on their way to Cedar City to visit Mrs. Peterson's parents, and will return later to Fort ORD, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fancher came to Delta last week from Las Vegas, Nev., and are remaining through the rodeo season. Mr. Fancher is stock foreman for Ray Skinner, of the Intermountain Rodeo Co. He and Don Skinner left Saturday 'for Clovis, N. M., to get the dogging steers for the company for the coming Season. Mrs. Hamilton Bennion and two children returned Friday to their home at Boise, Idaho, after a visit of two weeks in Delta with Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Bennion. Mr. and Mrs. Bennion and Lucille Bennion, i accompanied her to Salt Lake City on the return home, and attended the wedding reception of Mrs. Ben-nion- 's niece. Mr. and Mrs. John Koiter, of Vernal, were weekend visitors in Delta, at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Peterson. Lt. and Mrs. David Shorton, and children, David and Julie, arrived in Delta Wednesday of last week to visit Mrs. Shorton's sister, Mrs. Norman Gardner and family. They have been living at Pendleton, Ore. Lt. Shorton recently returned to active duty, and went on from Delta to be stationed at Fort Hua-chuc- a, Ariz. Mrs. Shorton and the children plan to visit in Delta a month before joining Lt. Shorton. Max Hannifin has returned to the Tri-Sta- Delta office, after a stay in Salt Lake City for medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wies returned to their home in Salt Lake City Tuesday after a trip to Delta to move equipment from the former Delta Bakery to Salt Lake City. They returned to Provo Wednes-day. Irving Nielson was taken ill ag-ain and had to return to the LDS hospital in Salt Lake. Mrs. Florence Kramer of Tooele drove down and brought her mo-ther, Mrs. Ashdown for a visit with Mrs. Ruth Bowers. Ruth is going Mrs. Barney Lake suwereo a stroke and has been in the hos-pital at Payson. She is home at present. She suffers paralysis on the right side. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson vis-ited here for the day Friday. Miss Connie Johnson left for Los Angeles Friday where she will be employed for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson and Ross drove to Salt Lake Sunday where they visited relatives for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglan and Rex and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks drove to Provo Saturday, where they shopped and visited Mr. and Mrs. DeLong Banks and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins and daughter drove to Gunnison Sun-day and brought home their daugh ter, Barbara Anderson and two chil dren for a week's visit. Ray Wil-kins is home on leave arriving last Thursday. He is to report back to his base in San Diego the last of the month. The 4-- girls organized and held their first meeting at the home of their leader, Mrs. Marilyn Niel-son. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sheriff and family drove to American Fork on Friday where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Beer. Also their daugh-ter, Donna in Provo. Velda stayed in American Fork, where she is going to get work. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Little were visitors at the Sheriff home Sunday. Sunday evening the primary held graduation for six boys and three girls. Each were presented with a Book of Mormon. The graduates with all the Primary children and their mothers were honored at a banquet given by the officers and teachers Monday afternoon. Over a hundred were served and en- -, joyed the dinner and program. Mrs Ruth Bowers, Erma Roper and Haz-el Sheriff were in charge of the affair. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Maxfield and son, Thayne are spending the .summer in Trout Creek, where Mr. Maxfield has leased the Grant Ranch. Elder Don Pratt, who left Delta Sept. 13, 1948, for the Swedish LDS mission, returned to Delta Tuesday. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pratt of Delta. Sgt. Grant A. Christensen, Oak City, is now at Fort Sill, Okla., according to news learned this week. He is a member of "B" Bat-tery, 145th Field Artillery Battalion This is the second Utah battalion to arrive at Fort Sill. His wife, the former Betty Peterson, of Oak City, is also at Fort Sill, having accompanied her husband after their marriage this year. Also at Fort Sill is Sgt. Christensens' old-er brother, Master Sergeant Glen S. Christensen, with his wife, the former LaVon Shipley and their infant daughter, Nola. Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Black and j. Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Roper were in Salt Lake City last week, where Mr. Black went to the hospital for a blood transfusion, and Mr. Rop-er had his tonsils removed.
