Show MILLARD COUNTY CHRONICLE Delta. Utah, Thurs., May 24, 1951 I E L Silberstein and daughter, Dorothy, from Sandy, were Delta visitors this week visiting with the families of J. Avery Bishop, Don A., Clark, Layton and Heber Bishop. Ted Harris, on the USS Sanborn, has arrived at Norfolk, Va., ac-cording to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Harris,. Ted was in Delta recently on leave and returned to San Diego for the voyage to the Atlantic coast, by way df the Panama Canal. There, Ted writes, he had a brush with the local police, and after being in two jails, was returned aboard ship along with a number of other men from the Sanborn. He had gone ashore for Eastman Kodak supplies. Oak City - Mae H. Shipley Home missionary night was Sun-day evening under the direction of Willis Dutson. Lyman Finlinson and Don Anderson were the spea-kers. Grant Finlinson sang. Mr. Esdras Finlinson attended the graduation exercises May 18' at Cedar City. His daughter La Mae graduated. Mrs. Faye Clark spent a few days visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Alldredge at Oak Miss Merlene Lovell is home for the summer after teaching at St. George the past school year. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jacobson vis-ited in Ogden with their son, Orlan and family and in Salt Lake with their daughter, Arvilla and family the past week. Mrs. Louisa Lovell had her dau-ghter, Mariam and family visit last week. Mrs. Melvin Anderson visited in Salmon, Ida., with relatives the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Finlinson and children visited in Salt Lake a few days the past week. Miss Dorothy Nielson spent Sat-urday and Sunday with her par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Niel-son. Oak City visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Anderson and little dau ghter. Bishop' and Mrs. Burnis Finlinson Mr. and Mrs. Grant Finlinson and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Roper spent Monday eevning doing work in the Manti temple. Mrs. Reed Talbot entertained her daughter Glenda's birthday on Monday, May 21. Fire side chat was held at the home of Edith Anderson. A good program was enjoyed and refresh-ments served. ' Hinckley News MARILYN PALMER Elsie and Eva Blake who have been attending Snow College the past year are now at home to spend at least part of their vacat-ion. Mr. and Mrs. Mcintosh and fam-ily of Salt Lake City spent the week end here visiting with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hilton and family of Albuquerque, New Mex-ico, spent the week end and fore part of this week here. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hilton of Salt Lake City spent Sunday and Monday here. their son, Sune's graduation exer- - "mt. and Mrs. Rulon Hinckley of Salt Lake City spent Monday here. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leslie Wright of Provo came Monday to attend the funeral for Boyd Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. Loren F. Dutson and and family attended the Rodeo in Las Vegas last week and went from there to Baldwin Park, Cal., where they visited with Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Roberts ot Mrs. Sam Blake and family. Ogden visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton. Mrs. Loren Green and Mrs. Mc Laughan of of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Bennett and fam-ily of American Fork, Mr. and Mrs. George Jones of Washington, Mrs. Boyd Hilton and children and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cannon of Magna were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton last week end and the first of this week. Verlene Stevens and Dorothy Morris are spending a few days In Salt Lake City visiting with Marie Stevens who is working. Mrs. Caffal of Renio, Nevada, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Tanner part of last week. She came especially to at-tend the graduation exercises of her brother, Elvin. Warren Workman is spending a few weeks at the home of his bro-ther, Karl Workman. Wilmer Woodbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Woodbury en-listed in the U. S. Naval Air Force last week and is now taking his 'basic training at San Diego, Cal. He has been made the CPO officer of his company. Mrs. Roe Buhanan spent a few days visiting in Provo last week with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wood-bury. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Workman of Hurricane spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Workman and family. Mrs. Jim Hatter and family of Billings, Montana, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Stevens. Mrs. Hatter is the former Manda Lee Stevens. Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Ekins, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Bishop, and Mr. Leonard Palmer went to Salt Lake City Tuesday to attend grave side services for Boyd Hilton. On the way home they stopped at the Infirmary in Provo to visit ward members, Ada Nielson Barnes, Wil-lis E. Robison and Nathan Badger. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hilton spent part, of the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. Hilton Mrs. Wallace Woodbury is visit-ing in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Woodbury and is helping care for her new granddaughter, who only weighed 4 pounds at birth and was kept in the incubat-or for five days but is reported as doing fine. ' Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Robins of New Mexico attended the Grave-side Rites for Boyd Hilton in Salt Lake City Tuesday. They were on their way to Bountiful to attend CSiiL Holds Regular Meet The Eight Cookie Club and Mrs Cora Harris, their teacher, held their first 4-- club meeting 'at th home of Thelma Black.
