Shipley Mr. and Mrs. Clarence East and Jolean spent the weekend in Oak City. Oak City Relief Society celebrated celebrat-ed their anuual day with a program pro-gram and dance on Saturday night. They held a bazaar that night and sold a number of homemade articles arti-cles and quilts. Refreshments were sold during the evening. Easter Sunday the Sunday school will have a special Eastei program. Pfc. Daryl Talbot returned Sat-' urday to Fort Warren, Wash., after a furlough with his wife and parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Allred and family were visitors at the home of John Alldredge. They are moving mov-ing back to Deseret a'fter spending spend-ing the winter at Kearns. Sunday evening services were very interesting. 1st Sgt. Glenn Christensen and Cpl. Grant Christensen Christ-ensen gave their experiences at Fort Hood, Texas. Mrs. Glenn Christensen played a piano solo. A number of people from Oak City attended the funeral services of William T. Coleman Saturday in Lynndyl. We are happy to report Leland Roper improving after a really sick spell at the Delta hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Finlinson and sons were Oak City visitors during the week. Misses Margaret and Elaine Sher iff visited in Salt Lake City Friday Fri-day with their cousin, Mrs. Janice Olson Cope. Mr. Richard Christensen visited from Logan with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Jacobson are home from Salt Lake where they spent the winter. Ka Lyman visited Saturday in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nielson spent a few days in Oak City. He attends school at Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Anderson are home from school. Miss Wilma Wixom is home after aft-er a year at nurse's school. Collier Lovell, Lorenzo Lovell, Nephi Anderson and Kathleen An-derton An-derton visited at Wayne county to attend a golden wedding party of relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Ellett. Miss Verna Mae Shipley visited a few days. She returned with Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Christensen. Richard Finlinson spent Saturday and Sunday home. He is attending 1 the BYU in Provo. |
