Show Final Rites For Parley Anderson Held in Oasis Funeral services for Parley D. Anderson 32, who died Nov. 18 of a heart ailment, were held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, in the Oasis ward chapel. Prior to the services he was brought to the family home where Calvin Jones offered prayer. The services were conducted by Bishop Peter H. Peterson and the American Legion. The biography of Parley Anderson was given by Ralph Skeem. Prayer was given by Parley Roper, Post Chaplain. "Whispering Hope" was sung by Mrs. Ray Western and Mrs. Melvin Warner. A talk by Clark Bishop was followed by "Face to Face" sung by Mrs. Jim Christensen, accompanied ac-companied by her sister. Bishop Peterson spoke of his acquaintance ac-quaintance and pleasure in knowing know-ing Parley and offered condol-I condol-I ence to the family. ..-:- nnrtis" was sung by Don "Going Home" was sung by uon Woodbury. The closing prayer was given by Alma Christensen. Graveside services were conducted conduct-ed by American Legion Posts 89 and 117. Burial was in the Oasis cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Fon Ray Hawley. The American flag that draped the casket of the World War II veteran was presented to his mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Antone P. Anderson, by Bishop Peterson. |
