Show Four Local Men Are Training At Camp Roberts Pvt. Merlin H. Forster, son of Mrs. Ila Forster, of Delta, Pvt. Joseph Milton Moody, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Moody, of Delta Pvt. Ladd J. Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. June W. Black and Pvt. Fay L. Dutson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin F. Dutson, of Hinckley, are now taking infantry basic training with the 7th Armored Division at Camp Roberts, Cal. November 24 marked the first birthday of the 7th Armored Division, Div-ision, stationed at Camp Roberts, since it was reactivated as an infantry in-fantry training division. Camp Rob erts is midway between San Francisco Fran-cisco and, Los Angeles, thirty miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. The largest replacement training center cen-ter in the west during World War II, the sprawling camp was closed in 1945 and reopened last year. The four young men will train at Camp Roberts under the Army's most advanced basic educational set-up the Division Faculty system. |
