Show ' iSIndk llook Mr. and Mrs. Leon McCrary of San Diego, Cal., drove up from their beautiful sea-side home to , spend the week with Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Miller. The McCrary's came to spend the week hunting deer. Mr. Mc Crary was successful and often mentioned that he has nev-! nev-! er experienced a thrill like this . and that the week's vacation is one never to be forgotten. They have returned to California and intend to have the head mounted for his den. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dodds of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Dodd's sister from Las Vegas, Nevada, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Burke. They returned to their ' homes well satisfied with their deer. ' G. Allsop later joined the group. , Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Morgan of, Salt Lake City were visitors at the Black Rock Ranch during the week The "Deerslayers" an association composed of relatives, friends, and associates of Mr. Merrill Miller and j Mr. Hampton C. Burke enjoyed a: fairly successful deer hunt this year. The return was slightly less than previous years, but none went away without some deer, for if any do not kill theirs the rest give .part of theirs. About fifteen of the "Slayers" were at Black Rock this year. We had a beautiful rain and snow storm during the week. This was a true blessing to man and beast alike. Our many neighbors on the desert that are making their home in sheep camps this year, had broad smiles on their faces when they came into Black Rock for their mail. i Mr. Fred Hefren and Mrs. Joe ' Hefren of Kansas have returned ' - to Black Rock in behalf of the El Capitan Oil Co., Inc. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Allsop and ; sons, Dick and Kent, of Copperton, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Davis and son, Frank o'f Salt Lake City were the week end guests of Mr. and 1 Mrs. Merrill Miller.
