Show Nation Marks 4-IB Achievements This week, November 4-12, is National 4-H Achievement Week. "To Make the Best Better," is the motto of every. 4-H boy and girl throughout the nation and to make the best better he pledges "His Head to clearer thinking, his heart to greater loyalty, his hands to larger service and his health to better living for his club, his community and his country." The emblem of the 4-H organization organi-zation is the four-leaf clover, with a white "H" on each petal. These Jour "H5s55 stand for head, heart, hands and health mentioned in the pledge. The green symbolizes the open country and the white stands for purity. Nearly two million young people are enrolled in the great youth program. Of this number approximately approx-imately 9000 are in the state of Utah, and 500 in Millard county. We congratulate the 4-H members and we also congratulate the volunteer vol-unteer 4-H leaders for the fine job they are doing in leading this rural youth. |
