Show BY MATIY TQHNSON Wednesday afternoon a class conducted by Mrs. Beth Anderson was given at the church. The first in the new adult education program. pro-gram. Thirteen ladies were present pres-ent and a number of decorative bouquets were made by painting weeds. Thursday Mrs. Sarah Nielson, county demonstration agent, spent the day here completing the upholstery up-holstery class. A little gift was presented her in appreciation of her efforts in the class? Some very lovely articles were finished. Those who were present were Eleanor Nielson, Rhea Whatcott, Ruth Bowers, Bow-ers, Nola Greathouse, Wanda Nielson, Niel-son, Mary Johnson, Evelyn Hogan, Eunice Nielson, Lucille Overson, Mary Freer, and Marilyn Nielson. Refreshments were served. Julian Finlinson spent last week at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lee Shipley. Julian does some very excellent ex-cellent work in knitting doilies, shawls, and sweaters, which are among his most favored articles. He returned to his home in Oak City Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley, In their new Ford, drove to St. George on Wednesday, with a group to go to temple. The Mutual held a party Tuesday Tues-day evening. Each class sponsored a booth. A number of interesting games were played. Mr. and Mrs. Phill Nielson welcomed wel-comed a new baby girl at the Payson hospital last Monday. Mrs. Nielson and baby came home today, to-day, both doing' nicely. Mrs. Anna McMahon was down from Tooele to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Pendray and sons. Bishop and Mrs. Earl Greathouse Mrs. Mary Nielson and Vana Lue were Salt Lake shoppers. Monday. Miss Colleen Nielson, who has been home from school for ten days with mumps, was able to return re-turn to school Wednesday. She was taken to Provo by her father, Roy Nielson. Then they drove on to Sutherland for a visit with Marion's grandmother, Mrs. Hettie Johnson, and other relatives. rel-atives. Mrs. Mary Johnson spent Friday in Sutherland with her mother, Mrs. Hettie Johnson, who has just returned from two weeks visit in Idaho Falls and Pocatello. While in Pocatello she visited Mrs. Margie Mar-gie Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Art Simmons. Months ago Art had the misfortune to break his leg and he is still on crutches and unable to work. They are building a new home. Mr. and Mrs. Ian McKellar and sons of Magna were down for the weekend with Norman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot. |
