Mr. and Mrs. Les Walker of Poc-atello, Poc-atello, Idaho, stopped in Sunday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Godfrey. On Monday, Feb. 20, Mrs. Frank Godfrey and Mrs. George Godfrey attended open house honoring Mrs Moore, who is 98 years old. She is Mrs. George Godfrey's grandmother. grandmoth-er. Mrs. Godfrey was the former Edith Russell of Provo. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. George t Godfrey and daughter, Mary Ann, went to Sugarhouse to the skating skat-ing rink. Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. George Godfrey enjoyed a game of Canasta with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Allen. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bus Bennett Ben-nett and children and Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams of Tooele, went to Leamington and joined other members of the Williams family for a reunion. Others were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Williams from St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams of Milford and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams of Leamington. Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams spent a few hours visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson in Lynndyl Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkie, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sheriff, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith of Provo, went to Oak City to attend the funeral of Mrs. Ann Roper who died in the Provo hospital Saturday eevning. Mrs. Paul Crum was called to Rock Springs, Wyo., as her grandmother grand-mother was very ill. Mrs. Effie Allen and Norma helped help-ed serve at the Eagle lodge No. 96 ladies auxiliary, as some officers from Salt Lake City were present. Mrs. Burt Roper and daughter, Mary Beth attended a fashion show at the Provo high school In which the students were models and displayed their talent in sewing. sew-ing. On Sunday Mrs. Thelma Clark went to Salt Lake to be present at the initiation of a new Ladies Eagle Ea-gle lodge which was held at the Newhouse hotel. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Orran Niel son, Boyd Harder and Thelo Nielson Niel-son spent a pleasant afternoon on the Sinks, as Boyd has e new motor mo-tor boat. Now spring is coming Mr. and Mrs. Ray Aitkins are anxious to be starting on the building of 1 their new home in Provo. |
