Show Ilinckley Mrs. Harriet Spendlove e- Mr. and Mrs. Willard Hardy and Mrs. Grant Robinson spent Monday in Provo where they shopped and visited Bette Hardy. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Western and two daughters of Provo were the guests at the home of his parents here, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Western. They drove from Logan, bringing Alma with them, after his having spent a week with them in their home. , Mrs. Emma Spendlove accompanied accom-panied Mr. and Mrs. Ward Spendlove Spend-love to Salt Lake City for a week end trip. Hostess to the Rook Club on Monday night was Roma Ekins. High score was earned by Ruth Talbot, with Arvilla Swensen taking tak-ing second. Beulah Black took high for the guests, with consolation consol-ation prize being given to Joy Hurst. Other members present included in-cluded Manon Robison, Nina Mech-am, Mech-am, Belva Morris, Bertha Love, Helen Shurtliff, Thora Petersen, Dolpha Bishop, Ruth Robinson, and additional guests were Vie Robinson, Robin-son, Harriet Spendlove, Melba Nielson, Iris Merservy and Ivy Allred. A tormer resident ot Hinckley, Mrs. Farris McLauglin of Salt Lake City, received a 1950 Buick as first prize in a volunteer polio worker contest. Mrs. McLauglin is a daugh ter of Mr .and. Mrs. Hugh Hilton. Samuel Dutson of Roberts, Idaho, Ida-ho, was a guest at the home of Leonard Palmer last week. He was visiting here after attending the funeral of his sister in Oak City. The Fireside chat for the Junior Girls and Explorers and Scouts was held after the evening services ser-vices on Sunday, February 26, at the home of Birdie Lou Hilton. Ted Harris, Jr. of Delta entertained entertain-ed the group with the showing of colored slides of his cruise to Guam and the Hawaiian Islands. Refreshments were served to 23 guests. Fireside chat was held for the M-Men and Gleaner Girl age group Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Shurtliff, with Gordon Moody relating missionary mis-sionary experiences. A large group enjoyed this special treat and lovely refreshments. |
