Show Stake MIA Holds Dance Festival Saturday Night The annual Dance Festival will be presented Saturday night, April 23, in Palomar, by Deseret Stake M. I. A., opening at 8 p.m. Each ward will present a number for the floor show program, as follows: foll-ows: Delta First, 1. Mexican dance, 2. Square dance, with Mr. and Mrs. Clark Draper in charge. Rayda Knight and Ray Turner, dance directors. di-rectors. Delta Second, English dance, Bonnie Maxfield, dance director. Delta Third, American waltz quadrille, George Chamberlain, dance director. Hinckley, 1. Swiss dance, Mrs. Dana Bishop and Eldoh Hurst, dance directors. 2. Junior rose dance, Betty Jane Morris, director. 3. Braiding of the Maypole, Betty Jane Morris, director. Sutherland, 1. South American tango, Dale and Grant Bishop, directors. di-rectors. 2. French minuet, Mrs. George Chamberlain, director. Oak City, Dutch dance, Mrs. Burnis Finlinson, director. Lynndyl, Hawaiian dance, Mrs. Overson, director. Sugarville, Scotland folk dance, Mr. and Mrs. Jensen, directors. Special numbers: 1. Comedy number, by Mrs. Beth Anderson, Hinckley. 2. Indian dance by Roberta Ro-berta Theobald and Ruby Bishop. 3. Patriotic tap dance number by Ray Turner, Kalae Knight, Helen Turner. 4. Ballet dance, "Spring," rjy Mona Allred, Hinckley. As the grand finale all wards will join in dancing the MIA Gleam Waltz, under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Talmage Christen-sen, Christen-sen, stake dance directors. After the festival everyone is invited to stay to a free dance until midnight. Music by Bud's Band. All the entertainment is free. Scouts of Deseret Stake will present the flag in a flag ceremony. |
