Show Livestock Show Sets Rules for 4-H And FFA Entries The rules and regulations of the Millard County Junior Livestock Show will consist pf the following: 1. 4-H club members and F.F.A. members can show four (4) fat beef, either as singles or in a pen of four. 2. 4-H club membrs and F.F.A. members can enter as many fat hogs or fat lambs as they wish, the number is not restricted. 3. Entries are limited to F.F.A. members who are enrolled in school and not over seniors in high school. 4-H club members arp pli- gible under comparable age. Any boy or girl who has graduated from high school or a comparable age as those graduating from high school shall be ineligible to enter stock in the junior division of the Millard County Junior Livestock Show. 4. The rules and regulations of the Millard County Junior livestock live-stock Show require all cattle be owned at least 90 days by the exhibit'.-: prior to the dates 1 1 the show and all fat hogs and fat lambs must be owned at least 30 days by the exhibitor prior to the dates of the show. This rule has been altred for hogs and lamb due to the severe winter conditions. 5. Records must be kept on the livestock exhibited during the time of ownership and the records made available for inspecion by show officials. 6. All entries on fat cattle, fat hogs, and fat lambs must be in the hands of the secretary fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the opening of the show. This would mean that all entries must be in by May 11, 1949. 7. Fat cattle will be sifted in weighing more than 1250 pounds. These cattle will be weighed at the time they are brought in the show. Fat hogs will be sifted if they weigh more than 300 pounds. Fat lambs must be born on or after December 1,1948. 8. The Millard County Junior Livestock show will be held on May 26 and 27, 1949 at Delta, Utah. 9. Any requests for entry blanks can be directed to the secretary, Millard County Junior Livestock Show, Delta, Utah. 10. An entry fee of 50c will be charged each exhibitor and a stall fee of 50 cents per head on cattle and 15c per head on hogs and lambs will be charged. These fees are to accompany the entry blank. Special prizes this year are being be-ing offered by the Deseret News, The Tribune-Telegram and local business houses. The details of the prizes will be announced later, however, the combination of all of these will amount to $300 to $350 or more, be given at the Millard County Junior Livestock Show. |
