Show NEWS OF THE WEEK FROM HYDE PARK Hyde Park, March 4. The Hyde Park mutuals gave a very Interesting Interest-ing -conjoint session Tuesday evening, even-ing, Feb. 27. The meeting opened with a double quartette chorus. Prayer was offered by Gcorgo S. Daines, followed by another chorus. Messrs. F. F. Dallam, Robert S. Mc-Querrle Mc-Querrle and Floyd Nlelson rendered a beautiful Instrumental selection upon tho clarinet, cornet and trombone. trom-bone. The main feature of the evening even-ing was tho debate upon the question: ques-tion: "Resolved, that tho several states should establish a minimum wage scalo." Messrs. Leonldas Hickman Hick-man and Everet Hansey were tho affirmative, af-firmative, speaking with Frod. T. Dallam and R. Homer Hydo, the negative. neg-ative. The dobato was very Interesting Interest-ing and somo excellent arguments were used by each speaker. An there wero not any Judges appointed, tho audience wero loft to Judgo for themselves them-selves as to which side brought forth the better facts and arguments upon tho question. Mr. Floyd Nlolse.n gave a reading, followed by a young boys' chorus, and another chorus by tho double quartette closed tho evening's even-ing's program. On Friday evening, March 2nd, the brass band and choir held their annual an-nual reunion. Feasting, dancing and merry making were indulged in until un-til midnight. These organizations aro doing a good work in our ward, and are highly appreciated by all true lovers of muBlc. Another interesting conjoint session ses-sion of the mutuals was hold horo tonight to-night with tho following program: Chorus, doublo quartetto, prayer by Geo. Saunders, chorus, Molba Hancoy road a story, followed by a girls' chorus. Martin C. Roeder spoke of the ovil effects of cigarette smoking, after which the doublo quartotto sang another chorus, and the benediction was pronounced by Eldor Henry H. Seamons.
