In the month of May this year the mills turned out forty thousand yaids of suitings. In fairness to all interested we wish to state that the case now pending In the court whcieln John A. Hen-diickson Hen-diickson Is plaintiff and Smart and Hansen are defendants, that the First National bank Is In no way Interested except that the defendants are two of its directors and that the plaintiff Is a heavy stockholder. The responsibility attached to the case belongs to them personally. As to the statement about the company's books being taken into court, this is a matter which tho court will decide, only such books being be-ing called for, probably, that have a direct bearing upon the case It is said that the business of receiving and disbursing money Is entirely foreign to the issue. As to the interests of the bank being Impaired by the suit It Is thought by the denfendants that It will prdvc to the opposite. |
