Davis, as future rival to Denver nnd ono of them visited Owensboio, Ky., where tho Davis woman was then employed In the family of Dr. Stlrman. Following Follow-ing tho tatter's advice sho Invested some of her savings in a lot In Plain-field. Plain-field. Thf boom for Plalnfield, however, how-ever, did not materialize and to-day tho place fs not even listed In tho United States pogtofflco directory. Last year gold was discovered In a i a vino, close to her property and now it develops that tho lot owned by her Is the richest in tno precious metal in that part of Colorado. She Is willing to sell for $1,000,000 and so Informed tho syndicate who offered her tho $600,000 for tho property. Should the deal be consummated sho will bo tho richest person of negro blood In tho United States.
