Show f Wellsviflc Has Fun Many Shows, Pance, and Other Notes. , WELLSV1LLE, Fob. 14.' There arc plenty of amusements In.our city. Several dlllcrent theatrical companies have visited during this season, besides be-sides our home companies, each of which have presented their plays to large and appreciative houses. Perhaps Per-haps one of tho best of these, and the one receiving the highest praise Is the Walters Stock Co., of Salt "Lake city, which appeared here Friday and Saturday nights of last week, presenting present-ing "Tho Gambler and the Child," and "The Minister's Son," respectively. respec-tively. Last Friday things were made quite lively by the Wellsvillc Military .band gathering themselves and serenading the entire city during the day. The' boys also took a ride to)MeodoD,where they also greeted the' people there with their beautiful music. Again in the, evening at about 7:30sweet strains of the music Oiled the alr.and it seems It was much appreciated, as people began be-gan to come out and gathered at the pavilion, where the party given by the band was held. Consequently it proved to be one of the very best dances of the season. A large crowd assembled, over ninety numbers being sold, and all felt that the band should furnish muslo oftener. On Tuesday evcning.Orandma Archibald, Arch-ibald, of Wellsvllle, celebrated her 91st birthday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hendry, where over 100 relatives assembled and partook of supper. A most enjoyable en-joyable evening was scent. Although grandma has reached this advanced age, she still enjoys good health and is quite active. On Monday, February 3, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter- Glennr Jr., was made happy by the arrival of a beautiful little daughter. This is the Urst child during the eleven years of married life. Boys have also arrived at the homes of Heber C. and Ja.s.j C. Parker. Bro. Robert Lelshman came down from Canada last Saturday and is in our city among his mtny relatives and friends. There is but little sickness in our midst at present. One lone flag is still up; It being at the home of Thos. W. Hall, where a case of measles is reported. re-ported. A school dance will bo given at the Pavilion tonight. Peter M. Maughan attended the funeral fu-neral of Mary Ann Atkins at Tooele last Sunday. Mrs. Atkins was a sister of tho lato Bishop Win.
