Show Witness Neatly Tricked. The chief witness against John Connor Con-nor for the murder ot a man in Cork was the accused's hat, which was found beside the corpse. The policeman police-man who found the hat was cross-examined thus by Daniel O'Connell: "You swear tho hat now In my hand Is tho identical hat you found beside tho body of the murdered man?" ho asked the policeman.
