Show Monster Heard at Hyde Park 'HYDE PARK, September 29. The Hyde Park Sunday School conference was held today, beginning at 10 a. m. Besides the'olllcers and teachers of the school, t ere were present ot the stake presidency and board, Assistant Superintendent Charles England, Cholrlstcr Wm. M. Smith, J. W. Jen-sen, Jen-sen, Charles Hansen, Edward Anderson, Ander-son, Ellas Nellson, Albert E. Bowen, Clcelv Batt, Mary Sorenson and Miss Monk. During the conference several class exercises were rendered In a very creditable manner to the teachers and pupils. The visiting brcthern and sisters, full of the spirit of their callings, made some very timely and encouraging encourag-ing remarks. Superintendent Joseph Walte, who for fourteen years has ably presided over the school, was honorably released, re-leased, as well as teachers Martin C. Reeder, George F. Ashcroft, Joseph B. Dalnes and F. O. Lee. These brethern have been very energetic and faithful in their callings, and tho Sunday Sun-day school loses somo of their most able teachers. Being Seventies, they were released that they might attend tho Seven les class meetings, which will shortly begin holding session at at 10 o'clock Sunday mornings. Rosel II. Hyde was set apart as superintendent, with Geo. A. Lamb aDd Wm. A. Scamons as councilors. These men arc well qualified for the position, and will maintain tho highest high-est standard of our Sunday school. The beet digging is progressing nicely, although some are not getting the tonnage they expected. Lorenzo Peterson and machine crew returned homo last week from Poverty Flat, where they had been threshing for about five weeks. Quite a number ot Hyde Park boys are over at Garland hauling beets, and are making good wages. C. J. Drury received orders the other day to make several beet racks for Wm. Bingham, of Trenton. George F. Ashcroft will have part of his house torn down and built upon a larger scale. That family bird called the stork, visited the homes of Robert McQuar-rieand McQuar-rieand John Purser last week, and left a bundle ot Joy at each place In the shape of a baby girl. All doing well, especially Rob. The other evening we heard ' the strains of "Home Sweet Home" on the evening breeze, and la such a feellngtmanner that we concluded It must have been Hon. Quill Nebeker and his friend the Bear Lake monster, soothing each other with that Incomparable Incom-parable tune. Mrs. Ohrlstene Jacobson, of Bloom-ington, Bloom-ington, Bear Lake county, Is visiting with relatives in Hyde Park |
