The latest talk about this comes In the Tribune of Saturday, Satur-day, which says: "Again reports are current of the extension of the Burlington from Wyoming to Salt Lake, a new and feasible route now being mapped out. As Is well known the branch from Frannle, Wyo., Is now extended to Thermopolls, near the Yellowstono Park, thus traversing the basin of the Big Horn. According to tho reported new plans tho road will branch to the west from Thermopolls traversing the Jackson Hole country, thus down through Star and Gentllo valleys to Preston, Idaho, across tho divide Into Cache valley, down tho southern edge of that valley and through the divide into Ogden valley and from there through Ogdcn canyon to Ogden and thenf" to Salt Lake. The route from tho Junction City to this point Is not yet defined. From Wyoming through to Idaho and down to Ogdcn, however, It Is said to bo an assured fact. It Is well known that options have been scoured from "Uncle" Billy Wilson for a right-of-way through alhls property In Ogdcn canyon and tho routo outlined would develop a splendid stretch of country, which today only requires transportation transporta-tion facilities to make of It a highly valuable and productive section." |
