In illustration, illustra-tion, there are fourteen pages of halftones, half-tones, and fouror rive of splendid work from Cartoonist Stoops. The halftones half-tones are of tho "Hell Cry Lakes," Hlllman, Forgeon and Farrell, who won In tho big debate with Provo; Rlter, Judd and the other fellow, "The Waterloo of tho 11. Y. 0." The track team, twenty In number, occupies occu-pies a page, and tho "Sigma Alpha" 'frat" takes another. Tho "Sorosls" girls, sixteen of tho "sweetest" creatures crea-tures to be found this side of kingdom king-dom come, occupy a page, and the "PI Zeta PI" boys loom up handsomely. Tho "Doso" bunch, well, If that half-tono tells tho truth has the Sorosls girls going south, despite tho assertion above. A pago is devoted to the three graduates with degrees,the Military Baud gets another, and the little Team ono moro. Department headings, tall-plcces, und two full- page cartoons by Stoops add color to the production. Resides a couple of stories, .and a history of college ovznts the past month, this number contains half-tones of Profs. Hall and Clarkjand descriptive articles of each. Eighteen Eigh-teen pages of advertising, making a total of seventy in this lssue,ill told, complete the production. Messrs. Petersou, Rlter, Jensen, Hlllman, Farrell. Lee, Carver, Stoops, Mathews and Miss Powell have reason to feel proud of this particular edition, and of the monthly efforts throughout the year also. From any point of view, "Student Life." tho past year has compared favorably with with the productions from tho bigger eastern schools. |
