Show Will Have Big Fourth in Logan After a Lapse of fears City Will Celebrate. Cele-brate. Preparing for a Big Time. Logan city will celebrate the Fourth of July. At the mass meeting Monday Mon-day tho matter was decided and a general committee of fifteen was appointed ap-pointed as follows; Messrs. J. A. Hendrlckson. Joseph Odell, A. D. Hell, J. W. Quayle, J. A. MoAllster, Dr. George Thomas, II . C. Hayball, W. K. Hurnham, Arthur Hateson, A. M. Fleming, John Hench, Fred Marshall, Mar-shall, N. II. Moore, Lewis Cardon. This committee was appointed to take general supervision of tho celebration. Harold Lafount was made general secretary. Programme, The committee met Tuesday morning morn-ing and arranged the following program: pro-gram: Firing of cannon et sunrise. 8:30, raising of (lags. It to 10, baud concert. 10 o'clock, patriotic program, speeches, music, etc., tabernacle square. 12 o'clock, lunch on square. lp. ra, games and races on square, for children. 2 p. tn., baseball at 11. Y. C. campus, between Center and First North street teams. 4 p. m., races at the driving Park. 8 p. m., fireworks, dances, etc.. This program is subject to revision at a later date, of course, but this will hardly be necessary. Committees. Hansen, J. W. Quaylc, Annie Ellason, Hattle Smith. .FIRE-WORKS: Dr. Geo. Thomas, Geo. Campbell, Wesley Jacques, Robert Ro-bert Anderson, Lewis Cardon. A. McAllster was made a committee com-mittee of one to press Capt. Styer and his artillery squad Into service before daylight of July 4, Not a little enthusiasm Is manifested manifest-ed and It seems evident that Logan city will have a celebration well worth the while. A cordial invitation is extended ex-tended to the citizens of outside towns where celebrations will not be held and to these for that matter, If they care to come here. Committees arc expected to meet and be prepared to hand in a report next Monday at 10 o'clock. |
