Show Bazaar for Eighth Ward slated Friday The Cedar Eighth Ward Relief Re-lief Society will hold their annual an-nual Bazaar Friday, Nov. 16 at the Cedar Second -Eighth Ward Church. Dinner will be served beginning begin-ning at 6 p.m. Delicious Home made candies, baked goods and canned goods will be on sale along with many lovely sewn articles . . . just In time for Christmaa giving. Everyone is Invited to attend this event at the Cedar Eighth Ward Chapel. TERRY BIOBGETT Terry Blodget joins Language Department at SUSG A new member of the Language Lan-guage Department faculty at Southern Utah State College is Terry Blodgett, a native of Salt Lake City. Professor Blodgett Blod-gett has been assigned to teach German, it wag announced by Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, SU-SC SU-SC president. i Prof Blodgett received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Utah State University in 1968 and a Master of Arts from Brlgham Young University In 1971. Both degrees were in German. Ger-man. He anticipates receiving a PhD in German from the University of Utah next spring. He was teaching assistant at USU, a student instructor at BYU, and a teaching fellow at the U of U. He also studied for a summer at Hofstra University in New York State on an NDEA scholarship. Prof. Blodgett is a member of Delta Phi Alpha honorary fraternity for German students. While In college he was affiliated af-filiated with the ROTC pro-gram. pro-gram. He fulfilled a mission in Germany from 1963 to 1965 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Prof. Blodgett plays basketball basket-ball for recreation and collects tropical fish. He is married to the former Cheryl Ann Cordon of Logan. They have a son and a daughter, daugh-ter, David 4, and Lori, 2. |
