Show Big plans in store for Parowan growth would indicate Parowan has been experiencing exper-iencing growing pains. Building Build-ing lots are at a premium, and new houses are going up all over town. There are 12 new homes and three new businesses busi-nesses being built now with plans for additional construction construc-tion in the spring. The new Gurr Subdivision has 17 building lots being developed de-veloped with many of them already sold under the agreement agree-ment that they will be built on in the next two years. The Sewing Factory east of town is almost complete and employs a number of ladies from the area. An automotive repair shop is being built west of town by Blake Hyatt. This is nearly completed and will offer a much needed service to the community. A Western Auto store is being be-ing constructed behind the Parowan Mercantile by Frank Adams and will supply the residents here with automotive automo-tive supplies, giftsware and appliances. Thirty new students regis, tered for school at the Parowan Paro-wan High School this year and 25 new students at the Elementary. Projected population increases at Brian Head are also expected to increase in-crease enrollment at the Parowan Par-owan schools in the future The basement is now being poured at the new Iron County Courthouse in Parowan and the future looks very good. |
