Show SUSC makes Evening School plans Registration for Winter Quarter Quar-ter Evening School at Southern Utah State College will be Monday, Mon-day, January 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the small ballroom of the Student Stu-dent Center It was announced by Dr. McRay Cloward, dean of the SUSC School cf Continuing Education and Public Services. More than 30 courses will b3 offered in a wide area of subject sub-ject matter which will lnclud such studies as Real Estate Principles and Practices, Business, Busi-ness, Art, Family Life, Drama, Education , English, Anatomy, Industrial Arts, Physical Education, Edu-cation, P s ychology, Spanish, Speech, and others. A basic course In plumbing will be a feature of evening school offerings, and a special program has been devisd for wives of married students in homemaking, home crafts, and meal preparation. Several graduate programs will be offered including a course on "A Humanistic Approach Ap-proach to Contemporary Problems Pro-blems of Freedom and Responsibility" Respon-sibility" to be taught by Dr. Gordon Porter and his staff from Utah State University. Other graduate classes will deal with Remedial Reading Instruction and Historical and Philosophical Foundations of Education. - Dr. Cloward said that all classes may be taken without credit. The registration fee for non-credit classes is $12. Those wishing credit may pay the $12 plus $6 for each credit hour. The graduate courses may be taken for $14 per credit hour, the fee charged by USU. Regular Regu-lar daytime students will pay $4 per credit hour or a $10 audit fee for regular evening school The services of the Counsel-ins Counsel-ins and Testing Department at SUSC are available to all evening eve-ning school students. Information on evening school may be obtained from the SUSC SU-SC School of Continuing Education Educa-tion and Public Services or the SUSC Registrar's Office. |
