World War I Vets hold summer party A large number of World War I vets and partners turned out for the annual Summer Party of the organization held in the Rock Church in Parowan on August 21st. The members and guests were welcomed by Commander Ross Taylor. Lois and Tracy Blood State Sr. Vice President and State Sr. Vice Commander were in attendance. After a social hour of visiting a fine supper was enjoyed by all. Following which a program of musical numbers was presented with Haldow E. Christensen serving as Master of Cermonies who commented on the thinning ranks of World War I veterans but their spirits and community cooperation and comradeship had existed and held throughout the years. Several lovely musical numbers were presented consisting con-sisting of a duet by Bonnie Thorton and Glenna Orton accompanied ac-companied on the piano by Barbara Jane Batt.
