Show Two area youths enlist in Army I Guard. Both men were sent di- I rectly to the units of their I choice. I -.-. t t I Two southern Utah men have enlisted for the Combat Arms Bonus of $2,500 it is reported by SSG Frank Stastny, U.S. Army representative. Stanford Steven Holt, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Holt of Enterprise enlisted for training as an Army Pathfinder. He will be required to qualify as a parachutist and rappel from aircraft prior to receiving his training as pathfinder. Then he will receive instuctions In land navigation, survival training, jungle warfare, and other related re-lated items needed to explore and scout in different types of terrain. Steve will receive a direct di-rect assignment to Fort Ben-ning, Ben-ning, Ga. upon completing training. He is a college graduate and has worked in the Cedar City area prior to his enlistment. The second enlistee is Barry Bar-ry Jay Blake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Blake of Cedar City. It MitA STANFORD S. HOLT He selected the Artillery for his occupation and will be assigned directly to Ft. Lewis, Wash. Barry is a 1971 graduate of Cedar High School. He Is married mar-ried to the former Patricia Carpenter, Car-penter, also of Cedar City. Prior to enlistment he was working in the Cedar City area and was a member of the St. George National Na-tional Guard unit. Both men have prior military mili-tary duty.
