She was also a four year graduate of the LDS Seminary program, and in her senior year was the recipient of the coveted Barbara M. Adams Award as outstanding Seminary Graduate. Sharlene has been an active student at SUSC the past three years. She has been a member of the Circle KT's; was Homecoming Chairman for the fall activities of 1973, and was awarded the honor of outstanding Junior for the year 1972-73. The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1968 from Cedar City High School where he was active in music, wrestling and football. He is also an LDS Seminary Graduate, served a two year mission in Australia for the LDS Churchj and is now Vice-President Vice-President of the Missionary Fraternity, The Delta Phi Kappa.. He is presently a Junior at SUSC, where he is serving as a member of the curriculum committee; Junior Class Senator and Chairman of the 1974 snow w eek. He is also a member of the Utah National Guard. The ' betrothed couple have circled March 9 as their wedding day. The ceremony will be performed in the LDS Temple at Provo, . Utah. A wedding reception will be held in their honor that evening in the Parowan Third Ward Cultural Hall. The young couple plan to make their home in Cedar City, where they will continue theii studies at the College of Southerr Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Decker of Parowan are proud to announce an-nounce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Martha Sharlene to Steven Chatterley. Parents of the future bridegroom are Doctor and Mrs. J. Garth Chatterley of Cedar City. Sharlene was a 1970 graduate of Parowan High School, where she took an active part in student government. She was a member of the High School band, took part in dramatics, was a member of the Rammette Marching group, and president of the Associated |
