Show Kiwanis participate in many activities Not only are members of the Cedar City Kiwanis Club very active in their service organization, but a recent survey reveals that each Kiwaian is participating in many other church and civic activities. A survey conducted by the Kiwanis Public and Business Affairs Committee, McRay Cloward, Chairman, shows that each member of the Club is involved in-volved in at least three community com-munity activities. The survey showed that some of the members mem-bers were participating in as many as six to ten major projects or community organizations. Some of the activities reported included: President of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Red Cross, participation in Boy Scout activities, ac-tivities, chairmen of various community committees. One member is serving as the executive secretary of the Chamber of Commerce. A large percentage of the Club members listed many church activities and positions. According to McRay Cloward, although such community service ser-vice may be reported from every service club, community service and civic responsibility is particularly par-ticularly evident in the Kiwanis Club. The age old adage, "If you . want to get a good job done, ask a busy person," seems to apply to each member of this Club. |
