Show CHRISTMAS TREE SALE NOTICE The Cedar City District of the Bureau of Land Management will hold an oral auction for the sale of Christmastrees on November 10, 1976, at 1:00 p.m., in the Beaver River Resource Area Office in Cedar City, Utah, according to Joseph M. Jarvis, Area Manager. Approximately 2300 single needle pinyon pine trees will be sold in two sales of 1000 each and one sale of 300 trees. Bids will be received separately for each of the sale areas. Sealed bids can be mailed to BLM, P. O. Box 208, Cedar City, Utah 84720, prior to bidding. Bidders will be required to make a deposit of not less than 10 percent of the appraised value priore tothe opening of bidding for the sale. Deposits can be in the form of cash, money orders, bank drafts, cashiers checks or certified checks made payable to the Bureau of Land Management. The appraised value of the sale is $1.00 per tree. This is the minimum bid that will be accepted. Deposits of unsuccessful un-successful bidders will be returned upon completion of the sale. A "show me" tour of the sale areas will be conducted at 9:00 a. m., on November 8, 1976. Prospective bidders are asked to meet at the Federal Building, 82 North 100 East, Cedar City, Utah, with their transporation. Those interested should visit the sale areas to determine tree quality, access conditions, location, and other important characteristics of the sites. General Information: Bidders are warned against violations of Section 1860 of Title 18, U.S. Code, approved March 4, 1909, prohibiting unlawful combination com-bination of intimidation of bidder. bid-der. The right is hereby reserved to waive technical defects in this advertisement and reject any and all bids, or to award the trees for the amount of the highest bid to the next highest bidder when the officer authorized to approve the contract shall deem the highest bidder unqualified to-fulfill to-fulfill the contractual requirements of the advertisement ad-vertisement or if the contract is not execute by the highest bidder. The contractor will have 45 days in which to cut the trees after the authorized officer signs the contract. The contractor shall notify the authorized officer immediately upon the completion com-pletion of the contract. Description of the Areas: The sale areas are located in the Indian Peak Range in Western Iron and Beaver Counties. Map available. Site No. 1; Township 31 S., R. 17 W., SEV4, EWEV4 Sec. 22, W2 Sec 23. The trees are in the Bull Spring drainage accessible by the Bull Spring road. Estimated 300 trees ungraded appraised at $1.00-tree. Minimum value of the area is $300. Site No. 2: Township 32 S., R. 17 W., Wk Sec. 13, S Sec. 14, SV6 Sec. 15, NV2 Sec. 37, N Sec. 30, and Sections 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, Township 32 S., R. 18W., Sec. 24. This area comprises the Trail Draw of Negro Liza drainages accessible by unimproved dirt roads. Estimated 1000 Christmas trees ungraded appraised at $1.00-tree. Minimum value of the area $1000. Site No. 3: Township 30 S., R. 18 W., S'2 and NEV4 Sec. 17, WVi of WV2 of Sec. 21, and 28, Sec. 19, 20, 29, 30, T. 30 S., R. 9 W., Sec. 24, except NW'4, SE'4SE'4 Sec. 23, E'2 Sec. 26, Sec. 25. The northern boundary is the fence line thru Sections 26 and 23, thence along the Atchison Creek road to NE'4 of Sec. 17. The east boundary is the east boundary of section 17, and the west V boundary of Sections 21 and 28. The south boundary is the south boundary of Sections 29, 30, 25 and 26.
