Show SUSC Student Art Exhibit The annual exhibition of art by SUSC students will go on display today, May 12, in the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, according to Prof. Thomas A. Leek, gallery curator. The Exhibition will consist of works completed, by students for or in a class, during the 1976-77 academic year. The works were juried by the SUSC Art Department faculty, Prof. Leek said. The exhibition will include creamics, sculpture, fiber, drawings, paintings and original prints. Many of the f works are available for purchase. The public is invited to attend the exhibition's opening and special program, Thursday, May 12, at 8 p.m. Jim DeVore, award-winning award-winning sculptor from Sacramento, California, will present an illustrated (slides) lecture on "American Sculpture after 1950". Light refreshments will be served. The student exhibition will run through June 2, 1977. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays. |
