Lillian Howler's quilt was one of eight winning designs out of ,S-l entries to receive an award in llic Utah State University's Kxtension Services' Ser-vices' annual contest. Howler is from Mil -tcrprisc and her quilt was an adaptation of the traditional log cabin pattern. 'Pinstripes 'Pin-stripes are to represent the bricks on an apartment building and the centers of tin-squares tin-squares are little windows with children peeking out.
