Show I Bard's Banquet open to Public I "We need to emphasize that the public is invited to attend and participate par-ticipate in the annual Bard's Banquet," Richard Messer of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce said at a planning session with members of the Utah Shakespearean Festival and Southern Utah State College. Plans for the fourth annual Bard's Banquet to be held on the opening night of the Festival were being formalized at the meeting on the patio of the SUSC Student Center. "This is the fourth annual Banquet," Messer said, "and not only are special guests, and opening night attenders of the Festival invited-hut the general public is also encouraged to participate and join in the activities," ac-tivities," he said. Bard's Banquet will be held Thursday July 12 with serving from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets for the banquet, are available at the Chamber of Commerce offices, or at the Festival Offices on the SUSC Campus. A special menu has been planned and entertainment will be provided throughout the banquet. "It is an excellent activity to kickoff the Shakespearean Festival and adds still another dimension to the activities," S. Garth Jones, Executive secretary of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce Com-merce commented. |
