Show 'Miss Rodeo Iron County' Contest PAROWAN - The "Miss Rodeo Iron County" contest will be held June 19th in Parowan. .A beautiful young lady will again be chosen to reign over the Iron County race meet and -Rodeo along with the new Miss . Iron County to be chosen later i The queen chosen during the Miss Rodeo contest will then be " eligible to go on to enter the Miss ' Rodeo Utah Contest held in Salt Lake City. Two divisions will be open in the contest, the queen will be chosen from, the group of girls age 18 to 24 and a princess will be chosen from the group of girls age 13 to 17 inclusive. Contestants must be residents of Iron County and be unmarried. Judging will be on poise, personality, per-sonality, and horsemanship. This contest is sponsored by the Iron County Fair Board and is an annual event preceeding summer activities, winners in the contest accept many invitations in-vitations to represent the Iron County Fair at parades and celebrations in surrounding towns. Committee for the contest . includes Vyonna Chamberlain,--Chairman and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Stapley, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tullis, Mr. Kay Chamberlain. The Stapleys may be contacted by interested contestants in the Kanarra, Cedar City and Enoch area, and the Tullis's in the Beryl area. Parowan, Summit and Paragonah contestants should contact the Chamberlains. All girls interested in horsemanship hor-semanship are urged to prepare for and to enter this contest to vie for the title of "Miss Rodeo Iron Countv. |
