The VVHM staff has an important im-portant new addition with the coming of Dr. George' Wexler from Quebec, Canada. Wexler has seventeen years of experience in his specialty. Three join VVMC Medical Staff A pathologist, urologist and respiratory therapist have recently joined the staff of Valley View Medical Center. The new additions increase the medical services ser-vices which the center offers the community. Roger Fin Williams, M.D., Cedar City native, has joined the VVMC's staff as Hospital Pathologist. . , Dr. Wiliams grew up in Cedar City and attended public schools here. He also attended the University of Utah and Southern Utah State College, graduating from the latter with high honors in 1971. From 1966-1968 1966-1968 he served as a PATHOLOGIST. The new pathologist at City and recently finished his presidency in the VAlley View Medical Center is Dr. Roger pathology. Fin Williams. Williams is a native of Cedar missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dr. Williams graduated from the University of Utah College of Medicine in 1975 and entered a four year Pathology Residency with the University of Utah affiliated af-filiated . hospitals. During this residency he held the position of Chief Resident of Pathology. Dr. Williams is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Rymal G. Williams. He is married to the former Karla Church of Delta; they are the parents of two sons, Blair and Russell. Urologist Dr. George Wexler, a specialist certified by the Board of Urology in Quebec has also joined the staff. He was born in Montreal, Canada. He attended medical school at the University of Montreal, graduating Cum Laude with a M.D. degree in 1955. He was in general practice for two years then received five years of training in Urology in Montreal, During the past seventeen years, he has practiced in his specialty, Urology, , in Northwestern Quebec. Dr. Wexler's wife, Gisele, is a R.N. She will assist Dr. Wexler in his office which is located at the center. They are the parents of three lovely daughters. Dr. Wexler said that he enjoys skiing, hunting and fishing. He is a Bush Pilot with 1500 hours experience. His favorite artistic en- ' deavor is classical music. Therapist Mr. Phillip Thaut, formerly for-merly of Provo has joined the hospital staff' as Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy. Under the supervision of Mr. Thaut, a high quality hospital Respiratory Therapy Department has been equipped, supplied and staffed replacing a conract service . that has provided respiratory care services to the VVMC for the past three years. Dr. Scott L. Brown serves as Medical Director and Dr. Robert D. Corry as Assistant Medical Director of Respiratory Care. The new department will provide (1) Twenty-four hour emergency services which includes cardiopulmonary cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, ventilator support for adults, pediatrics and newborns, and blood-gas analysis; and (2) routine respiratory therapy and evaluation. Mr. Thaut, a Certified Respiratory Therapist and a Cardio-pulmonary Technologist, has lived in Provo for the past six years where he attended Brigham Young University, majroing in Bio-Mechanical Engineering. During the seven- years he has been a respiratory therapist, he has had extensive training and background in Neonatal Respiratory Care and Invasive In-vasive Cardiology. Prior to his coming to Cedar City, he was the supervisor of the Intensive Care Unit for Respiratory Therapy at Utah Valley Hospital and served as a member of their transport team.
