Show Open Burning requires Permit PAFOWAN - 'Tis the season to be careful with your fires. I would like to remind everyone that June 1 is the beginning of the 197? fire season. Beginning on June 1, anyone wishing to conduct a control burn must obtain a burning permit from the State Forestry and Fire Control office in Cedar City or contact the counties stand-by fire warden. The burning , permits are not restrictive, but will help give the permittee guidelines for a safe control burn and will aid in notifying the local fire responding agencies of the Jocation of control burns. This will assist in good communications and prevent unnecessary fire runs. Locations within Cedar City limits restricts all burning of any kind. Any questions regarding fire laws within incorporated areas should be directed to the fire chief. To obtain a burning permit for all other county control burns contact Glenn Beagle or Ron Larsen State Forestry, 586-4408 or 580-8965. |
