Show In-Service Teacher Workshops Planned A series of 11 workshops and class offerings in a cooperative masters program in elementary and secondary education will be offered this summer at Southern Utah State College. "The program has been carefully planned especially for in-service teachers in the southern Utah area, enabling them to complete requirements for a masters degree without moving to a metropolitan area to do so," James M. Miller, dean of the SUSC School of Education, said. SUSC and Utah State University cooperatively sponsor the masters program which begin last summer at SUSC. "Because the graduate program has been planned for the in-service teacher, the majority of classwork can be completed at SUSC during the summer, with many additional classes taught in outlying areas during the regular school year," Miller said. He indicated that 87 persons were enrolled in spring quarter classes held in Kanab, St. George and Cedar City. "This summer, participants par-ticipants can earn up to 18 hours credit in elementary education and 15 hours in secondary education," Miller said. Course offerings will be taught by member of SUSC '.: and USU faculties.
