Show Administrative Changes for School District A series of administrative changes in the, Iron County School District were announced Friday as the result of action taken earlier in the week by the Board of Education. The changes involved three prin-" cipals in the district with new assignments. Dr. Jerald Hawley, who has served as principal of Cedar High School, will assume the principalship of the North Elementary. Quenton Bowler, who this past year was principal of North Elementary " will take over the reigns of Parowan High School. Dr. Vernile Matheson, who has served as principal of Parowan High School will assume the principalship of Cedar City High School for the 1979-80 1979-80 school year. Other changes Other administrative changes included in-cluded the release of Wayne Mifflin as Recreation and Community Education Director on the District staff. Mr. Mifflin will be reassigned as vice principal of the Cedar City Junior High School where his primary responsibility will be to handle and develop . discipline programs. The position of Recreation and . Community Education Director will be absorbed by the existing district staff. Specific assignments have not yet been announced. New Strengths "Shifts in administrative respon-sobilities respon-sobilities are often initiated to develop and bring new strengths to schools," Dr. J. Clair Morris, superintendent of the District stated. "Although many of the changes appeared to be unexpected, several changes and options have for sometime been under consideration by the board," Clayton Frehner, president of the board stated. |
