Show School bus violators - prepare for penalties Residents of the area have been issued a warning by Cedar City Judge Christian Ronnow that violations of school bus traffic regulations will receive maximum penalties. The seriousness of violations regarding school buses has become a major concern of the judicial system. "At seminars, in consultation with other judges, and in my own mind, the matter of violations concerning school buses should receive optimum penalties," Judge Ronnow stated. Residents has been put on notice that such vilations as being cited for passing a bus while warning lights are flashing will bring fines in the Cedar - - City Court of between $100 and $150, the Judge said. When an injury occurs in connection con-nection with the violations fines will be assessed in the amount of $299 Judge Ronnow stated. I Evidence indicates that such I violations are taken lightly by j residents and it is the opinion of Judge I Ronnow that the seriousness of such violations will not be understood until maximum fines, under the law, are applied. Judge Ronnow indicated that residents are being put on notice that such violations will receive maximum I penalties and that they will be assessed in his court. I |
