Show Pioneer Parade Winners Named The Second Ward MIA walked walk-ed off with top honors in the Pioneer Day Parade, a highlight high-light of the day-long celebration celebra-tion sponsored by the Cedar Stake in Cedar City. The float was built to the theme of "A New World" and featured a large and colorful paper world. It brought to the atteniton of viewers the idea that together w build a new world. Second place honors went to the Fifth Ward Youth Council with a float titled "Building in the Gospel." featuring the spiritual needs of growth. The Cedar West Stake MIA received third place honors with their float built to the theme of "Together We Build A Rosy Future," and featured featur-ed large colorful flowers to enhance the beauty in color of the theme title. Fourth place honors went to the Cedar Indian Branch with a float entitled "Building "Build-ing Our Native Heritage." For the first time recognition recogni-tion was given the Riding Clubs of Southern Utah. First place ribbon in this division went to. the Red Hill Wranglers Wrang-lers of Parowan and second place honors were garnered by ' Appaloosa Color Country Riding Club. The parade was sponsored by the Cedar Stake Primary , and was lead by an honor guard of the Utah Nation.-Guard Nation.-Guard and a by a float carrj ing Miss Iron County, Mar Kay Lambeth. Overall responsibility of tr day-long celebration was ur der the direction of the Ceda Stake Sunday School and tea tured, in addition to the par ade. which drew one of th' largest crowds in the history of the event; concessions, games, fish ponds, a dunking pond and races on the city park. A Pioneer program was presented pre-sented following the parade at the Cedar First-Twelfth Ward Chapel iby the Sons and Daughters of Ihe Utah Pio-i Pio-i neer.
