Show County farmers to attend Enterprise fertilizer meeting Farmers in Iron County and Washington County will be attending at-tending the annual fertilizer and chemical conference sponsored spon-sored by the Farmers Co-op of Southern Utah at Enterprise and the Cooperative Association. Associa-tion. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, January Jan-uary 12th, at Beryl Community Center in Beryl. Dr. R B. Farnsworth of the Department of Agronomy at Brigham Young University will present a program "There's More, than a Trip to the Moon". Dr. Farnsworth formerly lived in the southern Utah area and his many friends fri-ends will want to take this opportunity to meet him again. A practical feeding program will be discussed by Mr. Kay Robinson of Pillsbury Feed Company. Mr. B. R. Ellison, research director for Utah Cooperative Co-operative Association, will present- new information relative to soil testing versus yields. Mr. Clarence A. Anderson, state director of Farmers Home Administration, will ibe the lunceon speaker. Following the free lunch, ' Jay Hunt, president of the Coop, Co-op, will conduct the annual meeting of the Farmers Co-op of Southern Utah. Manager Rcibert J. Overson will report on the activities of the Co-op during the past year and the election of new directors will' conclude the meeting at about 2:30 p.m. While the meeting and luncheon are free, reservations must be made In advance at the Co-op. |
