Show Temple rites unite Slack, Snarr i'tUi 'iv n ill H A f w . Rites solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple June 19 united Miss Vanda Marie Slack and Sterling Gene Snarr In marriage. President Theron Ashcroft officiated. '. - ; - Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Morgan B. Slack, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. A. Glen Snarr, Murray. That same evening the bridal brid-al couple were honored at a reception in the Cedar Second Ward Church. ' i The brides gown was of nite Ute satin with a nylon chiffon ver skirt featuring a V design de-sign of little lace flowers. The bodice was lace with the same V degsign in pearls. Bishop sleeves and a train attached at the waist completed the bridal picture. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white glamelias. Matron of honor wag Mrs. Robert Goodwin, Mrs. Kerry Ruesch, Miss Lynette Snarr, and Miss LeAnn Snarr. Flower girls were Misses Michelle and Laurie Miller (nieces of the bride) and LaRee Snarr (sister (sis-ter of the bridegroom). Matron of honor wore a long yellow dress with a nylon chiffon over-skirt. The brides- MR. AND MRS. Marion Whitney, Annette Adams, and Betty Slack were in the gift room and the refreshments re-freshments were served by Mary Jane Halterman, Nadine Whitney and Susan Lyman. Helping In the kitchen wsre Mrs. Alma Bettridge, Mrs. Lyle Halterman, Mrs. Phil Smith, Mrs. Chester Crlpps, Mrs. Cleo Petty, and Mrs. Emily Wood. The bride chose a brown and white knit suit as her going away costume. They spent a week honeymooning in California. Cal-ifornia. Other festivities for the new-lyvveds new-lyvveds included a dinner hosted host-ed by the bride's parents for 80'famiiy members. Prior to the wedding a grocery gro-cery shower was given by Phyllis Hayes. The bride is a graduate of Cedar High and is presently employed as beautician at Penney's Downtown Beauty Salon in Salt Lake. The bridegroom graduated from Murray High and is presently employed at Wheelwright's Lithographing Co. in Salt Lake and attending the University of Utah. maids wore dresses of the same pattern only in apricot, and the flower girls wore yellow yel-low dressss like the matron of honor's. The flower girls held ; basketl-Of daisies while-th attendants held nosegays of yellow daises. David Snarr was best man and the ushering was done by Sherman Nielson, Whitney Slack, Lanell Snarr, and Stan Snarr. Both mothers wore apricot crepe dresses with white gamelia corsages. Mrs. Slack's dress was trimmed with yellow yel-low and orange flowers at the neck and cuffs while Mrs. Snarr's was trimmed with silver sil-ver buttons down to the bodice, bod-ice, Acting as hosts and hos- |
