Show Two Iron County men volunteer for military service R. COURTNEY WOOD Two Iron County men have unlisted for duty in the Unit-3d Unit-3d States Army it has been nnounced by Cedar City Army Recruiter, Sergeant First Class Jilbert Stuart. This past week Jim Worley, Tr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jame.' Worley, Parowan, entered the Army with an assignment in irmy airborne. Jim will take basic training at Fort Lewis, Wash, and then will be assigned to Fort Bragg, N. C. for his airborne training. He originally enlisted in the Army's delayed entry program on May 4 of this year and entered en-tered active duty on July 31. Robert Courtney Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Wood of Cedar City, entered the delayed de-layed program and will go on active duty August 13. Courtney will take his basic training at Fort Lewis and then be trained in installation, installa-tion, operation and maintenance mainten-ance of gasoline and diesel driven dri-ven power generating equipment equip-ment at the U. S. Army Engineer Engi-neer School at Fort Belvoir, Va. |
