Show Concert by Stan Bronson dated for February 19th The Stan Bronson benefit concert has been' rescheduled for Saturday, Fob. 19 at the LDS lnstitut of Religion in Cedar City, sponsors of the show announced this week. The concert will be held at 8:15 p.m. The concert will feature Bronson, a native of Blanding, Utah, and a group of Korean Orphans which ho has organized organi-zed and taught to perform. All proceeds from the concert con-cert will go toward support of the orphanage in Korea. "Daddy Big Boots," as he is known by the children initiated initi-ated the project after he had visited the orphanage in Korea Kor-ea to entertain with his guitar and singing. Seeing the plight of the children and their reception of his music he began to teach them songs. Wnen he discovered the tremendous talent of the youths he began to teach them and later recor-. ded their songs and brought the recording back to the United States where he began to sell them to assist the orphanage. or-phanage. Now the group has come to this country and Is touring, presenting concerts, again as a benefit effort for the young children. Bronson has taught the girls, who comprise the singing group, to sing in Polynesian Maori, English, American Indian In-dian (Ute) and their native Korean. Their selections thus display a variety of talents. |
