Show Funeral services held in Panguitch for Marion H. Englestead of Paragonah If . MARION H. ENGLESTEAD By Hilma Lamoreaux Marion H. Englestead, 87 passed away February 4 in the Valley View Medical Center Cen-ter in Cedar City of causes incident in-cident to age. Funeral services were held in Panguitch Monday, Feb. 7. Family prayer was offered by Waldo Owens. Prelude and postlude music was by Irene McEwen and Elizabeth Foy. Bishop Dennis W. Payne conducted con-ducted the services. Invocation was by Alvin Kieffer. The benediction was pronounced by Earl Englestead Engle-stead and the dediction of the grave at the Panguitch ceme-tery ceme-tery was by Alvin Englestead. Musical numbers included two selections by the choir, "Oh, My Father," and "That Beautiful Land;" a saxophone solo, "Whispering Hope," by Hazel Jean Robinson accompanied accom-panied by Melva Barton, and a vocal duets, "In the Garden," and "Going Home" by Fay Ella Prince and Dorothy McEwen Mc-Ewen accompanied by Elizabeth Eliza-beth Foy. Speakers were Kern Owens and Bishop Myron Abbott of Paragonah. Englestead was born Aug. 16, 1884 at Asay a son of Englebreth and Sine Soren-son Soren-son Englestead. On Sept. 23, 1909 he married Ellen M. "Nellie" "Nel-lie" Owens in the Manti LDS temple. She died Apr. 22, 1969. He served an LDS mission. Englestead was a sheepman and had also worked at Boulder Boul-der City, Nev. He and his wife were ordinance workers i n the St. George Temple for six years. Later they came to Paragonah Par-agonah to make their home with a daughter, Mrs. Gwen Jones. Survivors include sons and daughters, Mrs. Jones, Paragonah; Para-gonah; Ray Glen, Panguitch; Mrs. Alvin (Maxine) Kieffer, Bountiful; M. Van, Tuscon, Ariz.; Mrs. Henry (LaPriel) Linford and Marion Clem, both of Henderson, Nev. Also surviving sur-viving are 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Homer and Earl, Hurricane and Alvin, Kanosh. |
