Show Services Held In Salt Lake For Luther M. Winsor Funeral services were held in Salt Lake City Saturday at the 18th Ward for a former Enterprise resident. Luther M. Winsor was born in Hebron, Washington County Coun-ty January 21, 1884 a son of Anson Perry and Sarah Alydla Terry Windsor. He worked as a surveyor on the Union Pacific Pac-ific Railroad as it progressed through Utah, Nevada and Calif., and worked his way through school at the Utah State University graduating in 1911 with the school's first degree in irrigation engineering. engineer-ing. He married Beatrice Snow Dec. 16, 1914 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served as a member mem-ber of the Logan 10th Ward Bishopric and the Cache Stake High Council and with the boy scouts. He was an active temple worker in his later years. l Mr. Windsor worked on projects pro-jects in South America and spent 1941 to 1915 in Iran as a special government water consultant. He was a member of the Utah State Road Commission for 9 years, during that time he designed and built flood control dams on Highway 91 on both sides of Cedar City. Survivors included his widow, wid-ow, four daughters and two sons. Among the many who traveled trav-eled far and near to the services ser-vices were his 88 year old brother Andy and 91 year old uncle, Joseph A. Terry of Enterprise. En-terprise. A niece, Mrs. John Maithies of Cedar City was also in attendance. |
