Show Members Named To BLM Board Range users of the Cedar City District, Bureau of Land Management, recently elected three members to the District Advisory Board. Mr. Richard H. Leigh of Ce-dar Ce-dar City was re-elected for a 3 year term as a cattle representative re-presentative for the eastern part of Iron County. Mr. Leigh has been a board member since 1952. Mr. Elmer Lowe of Paro-wan Paro-wan was elected for a 3 year term as a sheep representative for eastern Iron County. He replaces Charles Burton, who did not seek re-election. Mr. Ashby Reeve of Hurricane Hurri-cane was elected to fill the unexpired term of William Flint Wright. Mr. Reeve will represent the cattle operators in eastern Washington County Coun-ty and will serve a two year term. Other members of the eight man board are George Henry Bowler, Gunlock; Kumen S. Gardner, Cedar City; cattle representatives; Edwin O. Larson, Lar-son, Cedar City; and Chester Smith, Cedar City; sheep representatives. re-presentatives. Mr. Earl Bunn, Parowan, is the wildlife representative re-presentative for the district. Delmar D. Vail, BLM Cedar City District Manager, stated that these men serve without pay and advise and make recommendations to the District Dis-trict Manager on management and problems related to grazing, graz-ing, wildlife, recreation, range improvements, and other land uses within the district. Their counsel and advice pertaining to the administration of the public lands is greatly appreciated. |
