She is a native of Cedar Ce-dar City, where she was born May 29, 1946. I She attended Cedar West Elementary for six years and was a member of the first graduaiton class from the new high school in Cedar City. She says her hobbies are music, sewing and cooking. When she graduates from the College of Southern Utah in the spring she hopes to be able to teach kindergarten in either Nevada or California. Julene Lytle, a native of Pi-oche, Pi-oche, Nev. is a teacher trainee at the Parowan Elementary this winter. She has lived in Las Vegas for the past eight years where she attended Ran-cho Ran-cho High School and graduated graduat-ed in 1964. She has attended CSU at Cedar City for the past four years. Following her freshman year she had the privilege of being a teachers aide in Project Headstart. He class consisted of 17 four-year old Negros, and was a rewarding experience, exper-ience, and she stayed on to work as a clerk-typist in the Highland Elementary which is all Negro. She returned to CSU in January. At CSU she has been active in the College LDS wards, in Lambda Delta Sigma sorority, in in the CSU a capella choir. She has also sung in a trio for the past two years. On June 6, she plans to become be-come the wife of DeVon Porter Por-ter of Cedar City. She will graduate after the summer quarter. |
