Show LADIES OF ELKS Two trees, one flocked with white and one loaded with tiny felt stockings filled with perfume favors and candies for the ladies expressed an appropriate theme for the Ladies of Elks holiday party. Decorations at the tables where dinners was served to 100 guests were fashioned from pine scented juniper branches surrounded sur-rounded with colorful balls and centered with candles. A turkey dinner, complete with flaming plum pudding dessert highlighted high-lighted the event for the ladies. Entertainment consisted of Lillis Spencer playing Christmas carols on the organ, duet instrumental numbers by Afton Hartman and Blanch Corry and an original seasonal reading by Mrs. Spencer. Spen-cer. Santa Claus came to the party par-ty to distribute gifts to all the ladies of Elks and club president, presi-dent, Afton Hartman, accepted a 30-cup electric coffee maker as a gift from Food Town. |
