Show I CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING WE AK AVIES Organ music by Reed Berrett, a Christmas story by Shirley Marchant and exchanges of gifts among members were all highlights of the annual Yultide party for members of the We Ak Avies club. The social was held at the home of Rhoda Jones last Thursday afternoon. Assisting Mrs. Jones were other committee workers, Evelyn Webster, Zoe Palmer and Carol Draper. CHERE AMIES The yearly holiday party celebrating cele-brating the Christmas season was held December 15 at the home of Phyllis Cooley. Chere Amies club members were delighted de-lighted with the stories of Christmas Christ-mas and tales of different traditions tradi-tions which were told by club member, Clara Knell. Rather than exchange gifts, each of the ladies brought a gift to be presented pre-sented to the State Mental Hospital Hos-pital to be presented to patients there. I A traditional Yuletide celebration celebra-tion was held for members of a Sunday night study group on December 19 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dixie Leavitt. Twenty guests attended and each couple contributed a story of their favorite fa-vorite holiday custom as enter tainment for the evening. A dinner, din-ner, prepared in part by each lady in attendance, had proceeded proceed-ed the program. Gift exchanging exchang-ing completed the social. STATE BANK PARTY Twenty-six guests, employees of Sate Bank of Southern Utah and their partners were together last Thursday night at an annual Christmas Party. The event was a dinner affair held at the "Home Spun" In Leeds. i |
